Blanc de Noirs - Champagne

New $125.00 750mL

Tasting Notes
This late-disgorged 2010 Blanc de Noirs embodies the elegance of classic vintage Champagne. The nose opens with bright green apple and pink grapefruit rind, unfolding into layers of toasted brioche, warm butter, and delicate pastry. The palate is sleek and structured, with juicy green apple and white nectarine at the core. Notes of poached quince, toasted almond, and preserved lemon evoke a refined marzipan nuance. Lingering length with fine acidity lifts the flavors of grapefruit zest and a subtle sweet-savory echo of baked apples. The finish is balanced, with crystalline freshness cutting through the richness.

Aging and Refining
Valette Wines' inaugural Champagne sources grapes from a 14-hectare parcel in Arrentières in the Aube department of Champagne. This Brut Blanc de Noirs underwent extended aging on the lees from tirage in May 2011 until disgorgement in April 2025—a 14-year maturation period. The final dosage of 6.5 g/L balances the natural intensity of 100% Pinot Noir from the chalk and silt terroir, creating a Champagne that represents the pinnacle of traditional French winemaking.
