Tom Rochioli

In the mid-1980’s Tom Rochioli began to produce some of the first estate wines from the property, and the results were immeasurable, with all of the wines receiving exceptional ratings and reviews by the nations press.

The intentionally low case production allows Tom to practice hands-on, labor intensive wine making. Tom believes that it all starts in their vineyard, with farming practices that keep the yields low resulting in a premium crop.  He does not follow a specific recipe when he makes wine.  He believes in the art of wine making, taking the fruit from each vintage and hand-crafting small lots of wines that showcase the diverse characters of their property. As a third-generation winemaker, and a Sonoma County Icon, Tom is proud of the significant contributions to farming and winemaking that he and his family have made over the years.

Today, Tom and his wife Theresa Rochioli manage the Rochioli brand, while Tom’s father Joe Jr. oversees the vineyards. Case production is about 12,000 cases of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Year after year, the wines continue to receive excellent ratings and rank at the top of virtually every wine collectors wish list.
